So often, resource companies identify promising subsurface targets well worth investigation, but are unable to generate enough investment interest to justify the long, costly process of permitting the property for a large drill program. Likewise, there are often many shallow targets accessible while waiting to receive a permit.

To date, crews from Paradigm Drilling have successfully utilized the Shaw backpack drill tooling to:
Drill and case overburden beyond 5m depth, to facilitate coring of bedrock targets below
Advance 41mm boreholes beyond 60' depth, producing 34mm rock core (comparable to BQ size)
Core extremely hard bedrock by driving Shaw drill tooling with the more powerful Hilti DD-200
Execute backpack drilling programs in extremely adverse terrain, weather conditions, and temperatures dipping below -20 degrees

The small basket pictured above contains everything necessary to produce over 200' of core. As backpack drilling methods require minimal water supply, it can often be sourced on site in close proximity to drill stations.
